  • W.J. "Billy" Tauzin
    Former Congressman W.J. "Billy" Tauzin was one of the most powerful Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives and served 12 terms in the U.S Congress representing Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District before retiring in 2004. Tauzin was Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications, Trade, and Consumer Protection in 1997 and was involved in much of the legislation affecting telecommunications and the Internet. Tauzin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Nicholls State University and a Law Degree from Louisiana State University. Billy Tauzin was named president and chief executive officer of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (www.PhRMA.org) in January 2005 and immediately took up two of the most important causes of his career: To help ensure patients everywhere continue to have access to the miracles of medicines, and to ensure that innovative biopharmaceutical research thrives, improving and saving lives everywhere
     
  • Dr. Peter Diamandis
    Dr. Peter Diamandis is a pioneer and leader in the areas of commercial space and communications. In a career that spans over twenty years, Dr. Diamandis has founded numerous companies that foster the commercial exploration and study of space, as well as communications companies developing broadband wireless networks and satellites to provide voice telephony. Most recently, Dr. Diamandis founded Space Adventures, a leading space tourism company. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of both the X PRIZE Foundation (www.xprize.org), as well as Zero Gravity Corp. Dr. Diamandis is a graduate of MIT and Harvard Medical School and the winner of the Konstantine Tsiolkovsky Award, the Aviation & Space Technology Laurel, and the 2003 World Technology Award for Space.
